The Main Office in Cuero, Texas began July 21, 1921 as Cuero Building and Loan Association. Originally the Board of Directors met at an office in Cuero City Hall until the Building and Loan office was opened at the corner of Main St. and Esplanade St. (now H&R Block).

1935
|
The Bank became a federally chartered mutual association on October 31, 1935 under the name Cuero Federal Savings and Loan Association.

1962
|
Cuero Federal Savings and Loan Association moved into a new building at the corner of Gonzales St. and Courthouse St. (current location).

1974
|
The Yorktown Branch of Cuero Federal Savings and Loan Association was opened on November 18, 1974 in Yorktown, Texas.

1975
|
The first Victoria Branch was opened November 24, 1975 located on Laurent St. in Victoria, Texas.

1993 |
In June 1993, the association established a Loan Production Office in San Antonio, Texas. |
1995
|
The second Victoria Branch was opened March 28, 1995 located on Sam Houston Dr. in Victoria, Texas.
The Loan Production Office in San Antonio closed June 30, 1995.

1998
|
The Bank converted to a state savings bank under the name of Cuero State Bank, s.s.b.

2006
|
The Bank expanded its markets by building a bigger product set, upgrading its technology infrastructure, and changing the name to TrustTexas Bank, SSB.

2007
|
The company expanded its corporate structure to include a three tiered mutual holding company – TrustTexas Mutual Holding Company, TrustTexas Financial Group Inc. and TrustTexas Bank, SSB. This change was to ensure the long term viability of the company, and to help aide with expansion and diversification.
A Loan Production Office was opened in Bastrop, Texas on April 23, 2007.
A Loan Production Office was opened in Buda, Texas on July 23, 2007.

2009

The Buda Loan Production Office was converted into a full-service branch in the neighboring community of Kyle, Texas. The Kyle Branch located in the Plum Creek area was opened December 21, 2009, expanding the bank’s customer base in central Texas.

The Loan Production Office in Bastrop was closed on May 30, 2012. |
2013
|
A new building at the same location was constructed in Yorktown, Texas which opened on September 16, 2013.

2014
|
The New Braunfels Branch of TrustTexas Bank opened on June 2, 2014 in Freiheit Village in New Braunfels, Texas.
